These tales of the three medieval saints were accompanied by a frontispiece and 7 captioned plates, illustrated in full color by Phoebe Anna Traquair (the first woman elected to the Royal Scottish Academy). The extra-gilt binding features a mounted illustration of Cuthbert. Prefaced with a brief note About This Book by Macgregor: "Around the lives of these wondrous Saints there gathered wondrous tales, tales love-woven in some land not very far off, some land of dreams." Published as part of the Told to the Children series, edited by Louey Chisolm, and bound with a concluding publisher's catalogue.
