"WHY SEEK THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD? / THE LORD IS RISEN, AS HE SAID" First edition of this collaboration between Dorothy Sayers and Fritz Wegner, the successor to the Days of Christ's Coming (1953), the pair's celebrated Advent calendar. The front panel features an architectural-style illustration depicting statues flanking the title letters engraved in stone. The card stock is folded twice, creating an interior triptych featuring a glorious color-printed stained-glass window by Wegner. The twenty-seven numbered window panels are paired with twenty-seven numbered verses by Sayers. Printed in England by Harrison & Sons Ltd., London, Hayes & High Wycombe. A splendid example.
